Notes: 1st drabble of the Sakuraiba February Drabble Challenge 2017
He rushed with all his might hoping that the other would still be waiting at the station for him.
“I know that it’s impossible but I want to hope. I want to believe that he is there with a bouquet of flowers, with his charming smile and with his round eyes that are waiting to see me”
He checked his clock. 19:30. They had decided to meet at 18:00 at the train station and then go to a Thai restaurant and enjoy their first date. He had excepted so much this day and when it finally came, his boss decided to give him more paperwork to do and that made him left his office at 18:30, already half an hour after their appointment’s time. He had sent to him a message saying that he will be late but since he got no reply he started to freak out, not wanting to believe that the other had already left.
“Please wait for me Sho…please wait” he continued to run almost reaching the station.
When he got there he started to search everywhere trying to find him. He walked in and out the station repeatedly but he couldn’t see him. He tried to search outside one last time but the result was the same as the others.
He sighed dejected and went to sit on the nearest bench.
“He will never talk to me anymore…” he whispered rubbing his face with his hands.
“Aaaaah stupid Masaki! Stupid stupid stupid!” he whined pounding his feet on the ground.
“Wow I didn’t know you had even a childish side”
For one moment he thought that his mind was doing tricks to him and was imagining his voice in his head, but when he removed his hands from his face, he saw him there.
Bouquet, smile, eyes, there was everything.
“S-sho…” he managed to say, he didn’t know if he had to apologize first or he had to check if that wasn’t an illusion.
Sho gave him the flowers and sat next to him giving a soft peck to his cheek.
“…I’m sorry for being late. Are you upset?” Masaki asked making Sho laugh.
“If I was upset I would have thrown at you the bouquet and for sure I wouldn’t have kissed your cheek!” he answered and smiled widely.
“Why aren’t you mad?”
“Because I could wait forever for spend only five minutes with you Masaki-kun. I’m too much head over heels for you, no way I would have given up and left” he explained.
Aiba blushed hard and tried to hide it with the flowers. Sho chuckled at that and took his hand making him stand up.
“Let’s go to my house, we will have dinner there” he said and started to walk dragging the other with him.
Aiba couldn’t help but smile.
“No Sho, I’m the one that is too much head over heels…”
